As CoolSmartPhone.com report the Orange branded Hero is finally receiving its Android 2.1 update.
I hope users who haven’t yet rooted and upgraded to whatever rom takes your fancy fom VillainRom or the mighty XDA will take advantage.
Compared to 1.5 it’s a different world altogether, lots of apps are only available for 2.0 up so there’s lots to miss out on.
Rooting is the way though – currently on FroydVillain 1.1.1
